Mount Holyoke Lodge - Masonic
Book Reviews

A Song in Stone by Wor. Walter H. Hunt (Mass. Mason) Published by Wizards of the Coast Reviewed by Bro. Gerard F. Kiely

I no sooner finished reading 'Rosslyn - Guardian of the Secrets of the Holy Grail'  when the review of this book in the Trowel (Winter 2008) caught my eye. It was a welcome read compared to that of Rosslyn and it was far more enjoyable. A Song in Stone has an excellent Masonic-based theme, historic elements and provides an entertaining, but detailed account (fiction) of an initiate Knight Templar's pilgrimage to seven Christian sites in 1307. The book does however start out slow, but by the second chapter you won't be able to  put it down (I finished to 309-page read in two days). Even though this is a novel, the path of the Pilgrimage is well researched, I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the Knights Templar or Rosslyn Chapel. On a side note, I could easily see this plot as the next Masonic-themed movie.
